Humor

Read this article about infusing humor into your classroom.  It is from the GoTeach! FEA magazine.

Think about the article and some of the examples in it.  Have you ever had a teacher that made class more interesting by being funny?  Have you ever had a teacher that had a humor tumor and made things unnecessarily uncomfortable or boring?  Write about something funny that a teacher has done or said in one of your classes along the way.

Look at some of the technology sources suggested and linked in the article like Blabberize - try them out. Link one website or an APP in your blog this week that you think would be fun or humorous in a classroom.  Find a funny picture. cartoon, quote or meme with captions that would be appropriate for your site school classroom and insert the image in your blog this week.

Your blogs should reflect conversational style writing, not just answering the questions.  Your writers voice should come through on your blogs.  Check your hyperlinks and make sure they are linked.  Pictures make your blog more interesting to read.

Reflect

Many of you recently attended the TAFE Region XI competitive events day in Lake Dallas.  You all did a great job.  You were willing to jump in and help where needed.  I am proud of the way you conducted yourself.  You competed well and you should take pride in a job well done.  At times it was hectic and stressful and other times, it was boring just sitting around waiting.  Thus is the nature of competition day.  The hard part is over and now we wait till Friday for results.  Regardless of the results, you should feel good about yourself.  We are a great TEAM - BCTAL Richland!

This weeks blog is to reflect.

  1. What event / events did you participate?
  2. What was the hardest part of your event?
  3. What did you learn from this experience?
  4. What will you do differently next round?
  5. What was the best part?
If you didn't attend the region event.  You will need to describe in detail, your Teacher Created Material.  Take two pictures of your project and include in your blog.  Give step by step details of how it should be used inside a classroom.

Blog is due at the end of class today, Monday Nov. 10.
